Calling all volunteers
If you would like to help us weatherize 100 homes in 100 days this winter, we would love to hear from you.
Once you have attended a COVER Weatherization Training, you are ready to help yourself and your neighbors stay warm this winter. Individuals or groups can set up a training time with Molly. Come train at the ReCOVER store in White River Junction, or in some cases COVER can teach group classes at your business, church or community center!
Most homes take 3-4 hours to weatherize, this is often a shorter time commitment then volunteering with our Home Repair Team. Once trained, volunteers set up a time with Molly, pick up materials at COVER and head out to weatherize a home without a COVER work leader.
What COVER can do for you this winter:
Weather proofing services
for people within certain incomes including:
- Installing door gaskets and sweeps
- Sealing windows and cracks
- Insulating hot water pipes
- Insulating electrical outlets All work is performed by trained volunteers.
- Up to $100 of materials
The materials, according to need, are no cost if your income is within these income guidelines. Supplies include
