Board
COVER's Advisory Board gathers around the table once a month to provide community oversight and guidance to COVER staff. These dedicated Advisors also spend time in between our monthly meetings to work with committees of community members. Among these committees are Homeowner Support, Volunteer Outreach and Support and Donor Relations.
Meet the Board!
Jan Tarjan
Lyme, NH
Jan is a Senior Program Officer at the Tucker Foundation at Dartmouth College. She oversees many Upper Valley Community Outreach projects. She played a critical role in supporting the initial idea of COVER in the form of Operation Insulation She serves on a number of non-profit boards.
Rosemary Affeldt
Enfield, NH
Rosemary is a licensed clinical social worker who has been involved in the mental health field for almost 40 years, including 14 years in the Upper Valley. She is a long term COVER volunteer and served on COVER≠s initial advisory board in 2001.
Nancy Bloomfield
White River Junction
Nancy was a founding member of the COVER staff. She currently runs The Junction, a program that is part of Listen Community Services for at-risk youth in White River Junction. She is also associated with the 10 Bricks program for homeless adults in the Upper Valley.
Jonathon Chaffee
West Lebanon, New Hampshire
Jon grew up in Lyme, NH, and since his return to the Upper Valley in 1980 has pursued his passion for cooperative housing and community activities. Jon is the Executive Director of the Lebanon Housing Authority, and served for many years on the boards of Twin Pines Housing Trust and The Upper Valley Haven. He and his wife Katy have three children.
Kevin Griffin
North Pomfret, Vermont
Kevin is a graduate of The Legal Services Institute, Harvard Law School's poverty law center. He has practiced law in the Upper Valley since 1983. He is an adjunct Professor of Law at Vermont Law School and has served on the Woodstock Union High School Board since March of 1995. He, his wife Nancy and their three children live in North Pomfret, Vermont.
Erik Brine
Hanover, New Hampshire
Erik is a 2004 graduate of Tuck Business School at Dartmouth, where he was the volunteer liaison with COVER. He is a member of the marketing team at Hypertherm, Inc. Prior to attending Tuck, Erik managed the lacrosse product line at his family's sporting goods company. Erik resides in Lebanon with his wife Shay and two children, Elle and Owen.
Pamela Kimball
Plainfield, New Hampshire
Pam, born in the Upper Valley, worked at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for 24 years and has been involved in many organizations, including the Meriden Grange #151 for over 38 years and the First Baptist Church of Meriden. For four years Pam has been one of the Ministers of an on-line ministry called Cyber Harvest Church.
Rebecca Lovejoy
Lyme, New Hampshire
Rebecca is a clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy to couples and individuals. Specializing in mind-body psychology, mindfulness, and the cognitive behavioral treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder. She is a long-time volunteer in the ReCover Store.
Erin McMahon-Farnam
Thetford Center, Vermont
Erin, a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College, works as a Unit Services Coordinator at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She has been a ReCover Store customer for many years, purchasing recycled building materials for her home in Thetford. Her home was the site of a couple of COVER≠s all women≠s workdays.
Bob Russell
Hanover, New Hampshire
Bob is a Staff Engineer for Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. Bob is a mechanical engineer and electrical engineer whose career spanned aerospace through biomedical, industrial, and clinical instrumentation. Bob can fix most electro-mechanical devices, especially tools.
Kim Souza
White River Junction, Vermont
Kim is a small business owner and community organizer in White River Junction. She runs Revolution Vintage, a unique clothing and accessory shop, and opens the shop to a host of interesting and fun community events.
Kimberly Perez, PhD
Etna, New Hampshire
Kim is an epidemiologist with a particular interest in applied public health research. She is Program Manager for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Family HIV Program, part of the Section of Infectious Disease and International Health at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Kim volunteers regularly in the ReCover Store and lives in Etna with her two teenage daughters.
